Electric chainsaw

Cheap electric chainsaw powered by LiIon battery. Similar tools are sold under various brands, mostly differenciated by included accessories, chain/chainstay length and battery capacity. I've bought this one to cut wild plum and wild elderberry bushes and trees on the neglected garden plot.

At the moment of writing this chainsaw was used for about 6 hours, cutting maybe a hundred of bushes and trees up to about 10 cm diameter.

Included instruction was useless, including pictures of different/bigger chainsaw model and not explaining essentials like how to tension the chain.
The bigger wheel is attached to metal cam and rotating it changes chain tension. The second part of tension mechanism is steel plate screwed to chainstay.
I'm highly recommending marking on the tension wheel max tension position. At some degree of chain and chainstay wear/stretching tension wheel would start to move freely without stopping, and keeping max tension position would allow to use it for a little bit more, even if chain would still be a little bit loose.
Second, smaller wheel/handle is to fix chain tension wheel in place.

Judging by cogging when turning driving gear by hand I believe it used BLDC motor as advertised.

Oil reservoir indicator.
Elastic button in the cap on the top works as a manual oil pump.

It looks like batteries follow Makita standard.

Battery indicator - maybe I was not paying attention, but it did not seem precise.

Oil is pumped out through this hole. In my opinion this whole built-in oiler is more for show than useful. It is hard to control amount of oil distributed and for a single oil drop cap has to be pushed multiple times, making it very impractical. Oil is also applied only from one chain side, it might be not possible to distribute it evenly. I would highly recommend ignoring buil-in oiler and using separate oil bottle instead.

Two batteries were included in the set. I was positively surprised by its capacity, as each battery was good for about two hours of work (not continuous cutting, mind you, more like cutting interleaved with hauling).

Very light charger, using DC 5.5 mm plug connected directly to battery.

Included chains. This particular set contained 4 identical chains and chainstays.

My first set of chain + chainstay worn out (stretched) pretty quickly, after 4 hours. Unfortunately range of tension regulation is pretty limited, perhaps this could be improved by adding some extra spacer between metal plate on the chainstay and the cam.
It is possible that oiling was inadequate as I was trying to rely mostly on built-in oiler. It is also possible that range of tension regulation would be more appropriate when working with shorter chain (6").
