Not registered version of Girder's plugin shows dialog window at startup and shutdown,
which makes difficult to e.g. shutdown PC with remote controller.
Alternative software which works with receiver (and many others home-brew/commercial
similar devices) is Lirc (http://www.lirc.org/).
