EBL C9042W NiMH charger
NiMH charger for 8 AA/AAA cells. Built-in switching mode power supply, using cable with IEC 320-C7 plug. Came with a set of same brand 4 AA 2800 mAh cells and 4 AAA 1100 mAh cells, all allegedly based on low self-discharge technology. Sounds fishy considering that Eneloops Pro are rated at 2500 mAh / 930 mAh.
It was disassembled because something was rattling inside (turns out it was just small piece of plastic, maybe remaining after injection molding). This charger was also very light, so I wanted to verify if it really has 8 independent channels.
It is assembled using only latches, but they are really strong (kinda similar to the ones used in power banks). Be prepared to break one or two.
Clean, single-sided PCB using lot 0 Ohm resistors for routing.
It is clearly visible that 8 charging channels are actually two identical sets of 4 channels.
Charging controllers are not marked.
CRE6511 SMPS controller with integrated high-voltage BJT. Funny thing: this is 7-pin SMD package.
