Grundig RR 276 L radio
Very basic mono radio + cassette player, probably from 2006 with a price of $30-$40 when released. Disassembled for cleaning and belt replacing.
Minor grief: cassette window at the front if virtually useless, unless it is supposed to tell if mechanism is eating the tape.
One big plus: this thing is very easy to service. 6 screws, no latches, cleanly opens giving access to cassette mechanism,
no problems with cables.
Belts are directly accessible without the need to disassemble cassette mechanism.
RADIO/TAPE switch needed some washing with IPA.
Pretty decent speaker for this radio class.
Audio amplifier: TDA2822.
AM/FM radio chip: TA2003PG.
Typical cassette mechanism, mono head, erasing head using magnet.
Full auto stop is a plus.
Larger belt: 0.8 mm thick, smaller: 1.0 mm thick.
Pack of assorted 0.7 mm thick belts from China, ~$1. Not having 1.0 mm belts at the moment I've replaced
only the broken belt.
Radio (FM tested only) is working pretty fine with decent sensitivity and sound quality.
Cassette player seems to be noticeably missing high tones despite minimal mechanism wear and clean head - or perhaps my cassettes degraded after 25 years. Maybe I'm expecting too much when comparing it directly with radio.
Important: shell plastic is not resistant to IPA. 90% isopropanol leaves white marks, 50% seems fine, but beware.
